Georgia State University and officials of the University System of Georgia are closely monitoring the Ebola situation in West Africa.  As we head into the holiday season, we know many in the Georgia State community will be traveling nationally and internationally.  The Centers for Disease Control and the U.S. State Department maintain Level 3 Travel Warnings for Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea and a Level 2 Travel Alert for Mali.  Georgia State faculty, staff and students traveling over the holiday breaks are strongly urged to avoid travel to these countries.  Georgia State has no international programs operating in these areas and has received no report of faculty, staff or student travel.  However, if you do plan to travel to the affected areas, please contact the Office of International Initiatives at oii@gsu.edu and keep the office updated on your plans.

Our community must be aware of the travel alerts to make informed decisions.
