International Student Associations Council (ISAC)
The International Student Associations Council (ISAC) is comprised of the presidents and officers of over 15 international student associations. The Council meets regularly to discuss issues pertaining to international students on campus and develop international student programs. The Council is assisted by the International Student & Scholar Services staff in planning events of special interest not only for international students, but for the Georgia State community as well. The officers are international student representatives on campus and are here to help support you. Please contact the appropriate officer below if you want to join an association, need help, have an idea for an event, or want to know about current group events.

Fun Fact: Kwamae is an avid believer in the freedom of self expression. He can dance multiple styles of hip-hop and is a parkour practitioner.
Kwamae is the president of the International Student Association council where he manages all of the country organizations under the council and is responsible for their charters, events, and budget. He was born in Long Island, New York and is of Jamaican descent. He is a senior studying to acquire a B.B.A in Computer Information Systems. He is also a member of Delta Sigma Pi Professional Fraternity and was formerly the Vice President of the Filipino Student Association. Kwamae loves traveling, meeting new people, and eating new foods. He has had the pleasure of visiting several countries including Japan, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland and Spain. His love for culture brought him to ISAC and he is very excited to be apart of the team.

Fun fact: Shyan is an admirer of languages and cultures, so she spends her free time learning how to great people from different countries in their native languages.
Shyan is the Executive Vice President of the International Student Associations Council where she leads Programming and Planning, supports ISAC organizations as needed, and chairs the Event Committee. Shyan was born in Jamaica and raised in the Cayman Islands. She previously attended the University College of the Cayman Islands before transferring to Georgia State. She is currently a senior pursuing a B.Sc. in Economics with a minor in Spanish. Her academic excellence has helped her to secure two scholarships. She is also an active member of the Caribbean Student Association, where she continues to develop relationships and learn about different Caribbean cultures.

Fun Fact: Annette’s art has been featured in the High Museum of Art twice. She can draw, paint, and create digital art using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Annette is the Vice President of Mass Communications of the International Student Associations Council. She is responsible for creating marketing materials for ISAC and maintaining communication with all 17 country organizations under the council through the weekly newsletter and social media. She was born in Miami, Florida and is of Cantonese Chinese decent. She is a junior double majoring in finance and marketing and minoring in hospitality administration. Annette began her journey with ISAC as Public Relations Chair and Treasurer of Hong Kong Student Association. She filled the Vice President of Public Relations vacancy this past January and this academic year will be her second term.

Fun Fact: Nassiri was born and raised in Côte d’Ivoire from where she transferred from to Georgia State University. Since her childhood, she loves to travel and discovered other countries’ food and culture.
Nassiri is the Secretary of the International Student Association Council where she is responsible for assisting with the ISAC correspondences and ensuring that all the 17 ISAC Associations received their budget reimbursement. Currently a senior, she is majoring in Finance. She is also an active member of the Student Alumni Association Board of Director where her work and achievements lead her to awards and recognitions. Her strengths lay in human relations with a facility to deal with others and work in a team. She is excited to learn more and acquire new experiences in this position.
