F-1 Students
In order to lawfully enter the U.S. to study full-time at Georgia State University, you need to obtain an I-20 from ISSS and then apply for an F-1 visa. Students already within the United States are eligible to transfer their active SEVIS immigration record to Georgia State University. International Student and Scholar Services may also support students wishing to change their current status to F-1 visa status.
International students in F-1 visa status have several important responsibilities and benefits. If you have questions about any of the information provided on our website, please come by or call ISSS during advising hours to speak with an advisor.
